Cummins India Ltd. Again Wins “Voice of the Customer” Awards from Frost & Sullivan in Five Categories

For the second time in recent years, the power generation business unit of Cummins India Ltd. (CIL) has won “Voice of the Customer” awards from international consultancy Frost & Sullivan, reinforcing the company’s position as the preferred power generation brand in India. The 2010 awards, which cover the Indian generator set market, are for five categories:

  • Corporate brand image/reputation leadership
  • Customer service support leadership (for generator sets above 250 kVA)
  • Most preferred brand in the manufacturing/process industry segment (above 250 kVA)
  • Most preferred brand in the IT/realty /hospitality industry segment
  • Most preferred brand in the construction and infrastructure segment

CIL was previously honored with these awards in 2007, demonstrating a consistent track record of customer satisfaction in these key areas.

The Voice of the Customer awards are based on the end-user satisfaction assessment that Frost & Sullivan recently conducted among generator set customers in India. The awards were presented at the Frost & Sullivan Backup Power Awards Banquet, in conjunction with the “Indian Backup Power –Growing Significance” Executive MindXchange, at the Leela Kempinski Hotel in Gurgaon, India, on November 24, 2010.

Beau Lintereur, vice president of the power generation business unit of Cummins India Ltd., said of the 2010 awards, “We are delighted with this continued recognition of our performance, especially since it comes directly from our customers.
