Cummins Power Generation at Montana’s leading energy conference

The Montana Energy Forum is a growing community of concerned citizens committed to two goals — achieving energy security for the United States and holding elected officials accountable for shaping sound energy policies. The forum believes in an “all of the above” approach to energy policy, including traditional energy sources (e.g., oil, natural gas, coal) as well as renewable energy sources and technologies. On April 3–4, the group will convene at Montana Energy 2012, the leading energy conference in the state. The conference includes energy industry representatives, suppliers of goods and services, contractors, local government officials and economic development professionals. Cummins Rocky Mountain is proud to be an exhibitor at the event. A rental generator set model will be on display that has been especially popular within the oil and gas industry.

New Line of Mobile Generator Sets In Production From Cummins Power Generation

Cummins Power Generation has begun production of a new line of trailerized mobile generator sets ranging from 60 kW to 300 kW. The new products come with several changes that improve both functionality and aesthetics. They are also backed by an improved warranty. Product Nodes The new products are offered at the 60, 80, 100, 150, 200 and 300 kW nodes. Warranty Based on the improved durability of this new line of products we are happy to announce that the warranty has been upgraded from 1 year unlimited to 3 years or 3,000 hours. Cummins Lunch & Learn arrives in Veracruz, Mexico.

The city of Veracruz and local distributor, Orientec, recently hosted another successful edition of Cummins’ Lunch & Learn seminar. The event was hosted by a distinguished contingent from Cummins and 35 visitors. The event highlighted the Cummins line of commercial and power electronics products. Installation recommendations and information about Rental were also featured. The Lunch and Learn seminars help to promote the Cummins brand at the local level and foster relationships and future sales.

Women’s French Soccer Team helps mark 200th Cummins Power Generation rental unit sale to Delta Service Location
|
Delta Service Location (DSL) is one of Cummins France’ largest customers. It specializes in a variety of industrial services. These include pumping and temporary energy. It boasts an advanced-technology rental fleet of 400 units that range from 15 to 2000 kVA. Delta Service Location not only provides the equipment but also turnkey services through a highly-trained technical staff. Some of the services it provides include delivery, installation, start-up assistance as well as solution management and maintenance.

APAS 2011 takes place in São Paulo with the presence of Cummins.

The event was held from May 9 to 12. In addition to making important contacts with segment experts, Cummins representatives secured the sale of two medium power generator sets (models C110 D6 and C400 D6) for use in Sao Paulo and southern region supermarkets. The solutions from Cummins will help the new customers enjoy up to 30% energy savings during peak hours.

Cummins Power Generation again donates power system for city celebration
|
As they did last year, Cummins and its exclusive regional distributor Cummins NPower are supplying a complete prime power system to support the events on stage (called show mobile in industry parlance) and the food vendors. The system includes:

On March 30, Cummins Power Generation took part in one of the year’s major events in Dominican Republic: a show by singer Shakira in Santo Domingo’s Olympic Stadium. Powering the Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics Minnesota
|
Into the ice-cold waters of Lake Calhoun on March 5 in Minneapolis went a weatherman in a wacky winged outfit, 40 identically clad gnomes, a bride and an Elvis impersonator. They were among some 3,000 people who dove or jumped into a large hole cut in the lake ice to raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota. Cummins Power Generation was also there.
A mobile generator from Cummins Power Generation supplied all the power needed for this fundraising event for the Special Olympics, including electricity for the PA system, changing rooms, hot tubs and the giant inflatable polar bear that served as the dramatic entrance point for the plungers. Plunges are a part of the year-round fundraising program called the Law Enforcement Torch Run, through which law enforcement personnel from across Minnesota raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Minnesota. The Minneapolis event raised $600,000. All 14 of the 2011 plunges combined — in which nearly 11,000 weather-braving plungers participated — have raised a total of $2.2 million.

20 Cummins Generator Sets sold during trade show in São Paulo!

Trade shows typically offer opportunities to establish and renew business relationships with customers from around the world. The 2011 FIEE show has proven to be no exception for Cummins Power Generation. By the second day of the show, it sold ~20 model C40 D6 53kWA Generator Sets for standby applications to a very loyal and highly-respected customer: Pole Power. Pole Power is well known in the rental market segment and has been providing power generation systems for those seeking quality and reliability for over 20 years. The FIEE show is being held between March 28 and April 1.
