More than ever, time and budgets are stretched to the max, possibly limiting your ability to attend important industry events. That’s why we teamed up with GlobalSpec — the leading specialized vertical search, information services and e-publishing company serving the engineering, manufacturing and related markets — to bring a convenient technology and education event to you instead.

The GlobalSpec Power Distribution & Generation virtual trade show was held on Wednesday, December 7, and we welcomed a turnout of over 550 attendees into our Cummins Power Generation booth. Our visitors included engineering, technical support and other professionals from around the world representing the oil and gas; utilities/energy; engineering; and manufacturing industries.
While in the booth, people engaged in both group and one-to-one chats to get answers to specific questions; exchanged virtual business cards; registered for booth giveaways; and viewed or downloaded a wealth of information including presentations, case histories, white papers and product literature.
All in all, a productive, inexpensive and truly easy way for our visitors to attend a trade event. So, thanks to all of you who came; we hope we provided what you were looking for. And if you missed it, just click here for the archived show or click in “live” next time!

Cummins Onan is offering a free webinar about certain new emission regulations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These regulations, which took effect this year, affect a wide range of vehicles with on-board generators, including fire trucks and other emergency vehicles, telecom and utility fleet vehicles, towable trailers and mobile food vending trucks, and other specialty vehicles.
The webinar will be presented by Eric Bollensen, customer application engineer, commercial mobile, for Cummins Onan. Meeting the new emission standards for mobile generators is a challenge, especially for smaller businesses. For example, gas-fueled generators must comply with evaporative as well as exhaust emissions. Compliance may require different fuel tanks, charcoal canisters and fuel hoses. The exhaust standards reduce hydrocarbon and nitrogen oxide emissions by more than 33%. Failure to comply can result in a $35,000 fine, imprisonment, or both.
Eric will discuss what the new regulations require and what that means for owners and builders of these vehicles, as well as how Cummins Onan is meeting these new standards. Please join us at:
Date: April 29, 2011
Time: 1:00pm CST
Registration: cm.emission-solutions.com
